      Dear Andrew,
Greetings from Western Australia. I just got a match on data for Francis Joseph Wayth(1849-1913) who married Charlotte Agnes Ransom. Francis's mother was Elizabeth 'Caroline' Mouritz, hence the interest in this family as I am a Mouritz.
Would love to hear from you; Elizabeth, always known as Caroline, was my GGG grandfather's neice who he brought to Australia with his family in the lates 1830's from Dundalk, Ireland. I have an extensive tree on ancestry and would very much like to connect you to the tree if that is possible.
Look forward to hearing from you. Please utilise my hotmail address.

      Phil Mouritz

      Hi Andrew

Not sure if you are aware of this.
Copy of part exchange of emails I had with Tania Dennis a month or so ago.

      Now resolved from my perspective.

      Hi Neil

I am not sure if I can help. I have the WAYTH tree back to about the late 1500’s and at this stage have not come across the name LOGUE. Also today after getting your email I decided to try again and find Edmund and I finally found Edmund Smith Wayth’s death in Sth Melbourne Victoria in 1888 wife listed as Jane Arabella Sheriff – his name has been transcribed incorrectly as Edward Smith WYETH. He and his younger brother Thomas Longridge WAYTH came to Australia about 1845 have never had any luck finding shipping records. All the WAYTH’s in Geelong are from Thomas Longridge Wayth’s only son Francis Wayth. Thomas married Elizabeth Caroline MOURITZ in 1843 Melbourne – it seems that he either deserted her and her 4 children or she left him....Thomas Longridge died in 1856 trying to find gold. Elizabeth Caroline MOURITZ was related to John Joseph MOURITZ – earliest Particular Baptists in Australia, they came from Ireland.

Do you know the names of Eleanor Logue’s siblings, approximate dates of birth. Where did James and Eleanor live in SA?

I cannot make out on Eleanor’s marriage certificate but does it say spinster or widow?

I am not sure why Edmund was a witness at Eleanor & James wedding, perhaps friends. And I wish I could say that the photo was of Edmund as it would be great but I cannot. It maybe that you need to start my narrowing down who the Logue siblings were and then progress to who they may have married.

Neil let me know if you want further information, or if you give me further dates of your Logue family I can see what I can find.

      Regards
      Tania
