I happened to come across your details when I googled Tiffin FAMILY Queenstown , Eastern Cape.
My beloved grandfather was Kit Tiffin ( C. J. Tiffin ) who was born on 29 June 1900 in Queenstown ( as you correctly said ) and died on 3 Jan 1988 ( and not March as you recorded ) in Pinetown KZN.
Kit had a son Christopher Reginald by his first wife and a daughter Jean Wendy 28/10/1935 ( Wendy Meyer) by his second wife. I am the son of Wendy. I was 30 years old when my grandfather died and we were always very close, speaking about “the old days “ ad nauseum. My grandfathers mothers maiden name was Palmer.
The Christopher Henry Tiffin name has not continued. When he died in 1909 he left Maud with 7 daughters and 3 sons. Grandfather Kit was the first son and number 6 in the family.( He had my Mom and her brother------Kit Reginald had 3 daughters ) After Christopher James came Errol (number 7 in the family ) and Errol had 2 daughters. The 9 th born was Lionel , who had a son ( my Moms cousin ) His son Rodney also only had daughters .
I would be happy to correspond on any info that you may be interested in.
